I haven't seen the movie yet, but even still I wanted to mention it opening today. I know one of the producers, Eddie Vaisman, and from the trailer, the premise, the fact that it won Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at this year's Sundance Festival 2013, and the early reviews, I feel on safe ground. The movie is In a World..., written, directed by and starring Lake Bell, previously best-known as an actress in such things as HBO's How to Make It in America and the popular comic webseries, Childrens Hospital. The title comes from the all-too-common line that begins so many movie trailers. And the story concerns a young woman's efforts to break into the very-closed society of male-only voiceover announcers for movie trailers. It has a very nice cast, as well, including Ken Marino (who starred and directed the hilarious webseries Burning Love, a spoof of The Bachelor, that I wrote about on the Huffington Post in its early days, long before it was picked up and re-run on the E! Channel), Rob Corddry, Eva Longoria, Nick Offerman, and Geena Davis, Here's the trailer.
