It's Trump at a rally whining about how he was nominated for three Nobel Prizes (he wasn't -- three different nominated him for one Prize...), and he didn't get any coverage because of the devastating floods in Iowa and problems with crops. But that's not the stunningly bad part. It's that the rally where he's saying this is...in Iowa!!!
His cult fans might cheer him on this (might), but you know the footage will be played on Iowa news shows all day, and it will be used as an ad in Iowa, which most polls have the state tied, or Joe Biden slightly ahead.
And one addendum about his whining. He was only "nominated," which anyone can be -- Jerry Lewis liked to insist that he was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. (Whether he was or not, who knows?) His complaints about Barack Obama getting so much news about winning the Nobel Peace Prize misses the point that Barack Obama actually won the Nobel Peace Prize.
And again, yes, this is in IOWA.
Where Republican Jodi Ernst is running for re-election to the U.S. Senate. And is about 3-5 points behind. Imagine how thrilled she is by this and having to answer for it when asked. But even if she isn't asked, this is her party leader -- slamming news coverage of the disastrous flood and crop problems because he didn't get enough coverage for a meaningless nomination.
Yes, this is in...Iowa.
