I often read the CNET tech news feed. It's well-done, thoughtful and very informative. (Okay, if you're interested in techie stuff...) Sometimes, though they have so much news pouring out that things can...well, slip through. Hey, these things happen. Take it from the master of typos...
Take for instance yesterday afternoon. CNET had a report on their scrolling crawl that told us about a new product from Jawbone.
Okay, fine, swell, I like CNET, so I promise I'll take their word and not call Jawbone's new product a fitness tracker. Done, it's a deal.
Except that just two stories later in the crawl, mere minutes later came this story --
I think that Kara Tsuboi and Brian Bennett have to go over their notes and get on the same page. Or at least wait until the editor gets back from lunch before posting...
For now, though, I'm going to hold off trying to figure out what to call it.
Robert J. Elisberg is a political commentator, screenwriter, novelist, tech writer and also some other things that I just tend to keep forgetting.
