I'm going to stick with Bob Gibson today -- but from another direction. I mentioned the other day that he was a songwriter himself and that early in his career in the early-1960s he teamed up with Hamilton Camp, who eventually left for Hollywood to pursue his acting career which went respectably well. (Most notably as a regular on the excellent but short-lived sitcom, He and She, with Richard Benjamin and Paula Prentiss, and in the hit Broadway revue, Story Theater.) Years passed, and Gibson and Camp teamed up again in 1987, touring and even putting out a terrific album, Homemade Music (which you can get here). In fact, I saw them perform at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, and they were wonderful -- in fact, it's a recording of that concert that became their Homemade Music album. There isn't much video of them together from this reunion, but we do have them performing on a very low-end cable access show. I've posted this before, but beggars can't be choosers, so here it is again. Gibson and Camp with Sing for the Song, written by Gibson and Anne Hills. (And since it's a video, you might recognize Hamilton Camp from his acting career.) And hey, since I did post this video above before, a while back, I thought I'd include a bonus. This is just audio, and it's the same song, but quite an impressive group singing it -- Bob Gibson, Odetta, Tom Paxton and Josh White Jr.
