Yesterday was a very bad day for Trump. This was today --
1. Court rules that Summer Zervos can do discovery against Trump. 2. Trump's Letter of Intent (during the campaign) to build Trump Moscow was revealed. 3. Paul Manafort;s ex-son-in-law plead guilty as a cooperating witness. 4, Qatar payment to Kushner family appears to be a bribe forced by the administration, taking the country off the terror list (which they were initially put on when they DIDN'T make the loan. 5. The Really Rich Bill Gates trashes and ridicules Trump in a recent, just-discovered video. Bad day, hunh? By the way, I think the court ruling that Summer Zeros can do discovery (in her defamation lawsuit) against Trump is a FAR bigger story than reported. This could open up "The Apprentice" vaults of behind-the-scenes footage, since they have requested a great deal of it. But the thing is, truly terrible as all those stories are -- and as potentially crushing as the Summer Zervos story is -- I think that with Trump being Trump, it's that Bill Gates story that probably bothers him the most. A "true" billionaire, one of the richest men in the world, someone Trump achingly, gnawingly aspires to be, ridiculing him on camera is probably one of his worst nightmares. Here's the video shown yesterday as an exclusive on the All In with Chris Hayes show on MSNBC. This is the entire show, and it's very good, well-worth watching. But if you just want to see the Bill Gates footage, jump to the 34:34 mark and watch the rest of the way... By the way, my favorite line is a little hard to make out in its entirety, because the crowd had been laughing and then he says it sort of as an uncomfortable aside, and so the opening gets a bit muffled -- but what he saying is: "Melinda...didn't like that...too well." ("Melinda" is his wife.) You'll see the context of what that refers to below. And here's the whole thing.
