Last month, I wrote about a stage musical that Randy Newman created, Faust, and posted a song that's somewhat well-known from it and has a sort of reputation an anthem for overcoming obstacles, "Can't Keep a Good Man Down" -- but it's probably little known that it's actually sung by the Devil. You can read about Fault and hear the song here, if you didn't come across this before.
This is an even more famous song from Faust, and it too has a bit of a twist for what it's "really" about. It's an absolutely gorgeous song -- "Feels Like Home." However, though a love song, it's not only sung to the Devil, who has fallen for this girl, but the girl isn't in love at all and is tricking the Devil.
You may have heard it in the movie, Michael, and presumed that it was either written for that or just a Bonnie Raitt single from one of her albums. In fact, it's from Faust. And about something quite a bit different than you suspect. But, is it ever gorgeous, regardless. Here's the original version --
