I was talking with a friend yesterday about the final A Prairie Home Companion show that Garrison Keillor hosted, which he knew I had attended. He wondered if there had been any cameras at the Hollywood Bowl, since he knew that the show often streamed a video feed. I know that the Hollywood Bowl has cameras and often does record performances there, but I wasn't aware of any filming there that night. Checking YouTube, though, I found that, though the program was not streamed, indeed they did record the show and have selected videos from it online. Later, though, I remembered something that oddly slipped my mind. -- I myself had recorded a little bit of video! It was on my mobile phone, and I'd forgotten to transfer it. I didn't record much -- I wanted to spend the evening watching and enjoying the show, not videorecording it. But at a certain point, I did want to have a record of something of the last night, particularly during the final News from Lake Wobegon. So, here it is. About two minutes, as he begins to reminisce about Father Emil. The footage is grainy, and the sound hardly crisp and loud. But it shines through. Their official material may be far better quality and more extensive (okay, no "maybe" about it...), but this is mine.
